My prayer: Through loss - Lord, lift the burden and help me build a bridge to health. Instead of bitter thoughts grant me a better attitude.

Some of my best thoughts come when I think. It pays to sit on a rock occasionally and just think. Do a stocktake. Where am I at? How am I doing?
Has a loss affected me me emotionally? How is my attitude? What about my spirituality? A bloke's thoughts..Jeff

If I lose my car keys, my career, my wife or anything important to me, it's not the loss that defines who I am, it's how i respond.

When loss comes out of left field and king hits me, not too much withstands the assault.
If the goal posts are moved and everything that was normal, changes, only the authentic remains constant.
Losing something I hold dear, can jolt me into a world of unreality. That's when what I believe is really tested.

When loss robs me of something I love, it can hurt. Often true value is only appreciated when it is gone.
Now, I protect everything genuinely important.
I am not an owner but a steward of everything precious in my life. A bloke's thoughts..Jeff

When everything changes and nothing seems normal anymore, my emotions can pull me in different directions.
Unchartered waters can lead to either calamity or opportunity.
Whilst circumstances change, authentic faith remains constant and I can make it through. A bloke thoughts...Jeff
